Blog Nº9: Changes to my study program

Now that I am in my last gear of carrier, I can say that I would like to change a lot of things in my study program. I said before that I'm studying film and television in the University of Chile, and the first thing that I would like to change in my career program is the theory vision of the institute. Here at ICEI, the career is not considered an art career than a communication career, which is not bad, but already exist the journalist career at the institute, so i believe that career is the one that should study the audiovisual tool as a communication tool in the theoretical aspect of the program, not us that we should develop our theoretical knowledge in esthetic or art history, subjects that my career right now doesn't apply to our program, because they focus in teach our career as a political tool in communication that helps us to generate a critic view of the industry but in a parodistic and sociological point of view. Also the artistic aspect of our career is week, because the practice area of the program is very superficial, and docent allows us to specialize in any area, we are prepared to manage in a general way, all the process of making a movie during all career, i good to know about all the role in the process of making a movie, but some people just want to dedicate in one area, and the career docent give us the opportunity to know in a deep way any area of the industry.
